This is done so that the driver does not forget to remove the car from the gear, the car, when starting the engine, does not jerk forward sharply and does not hit the car in front. Disadvantages of squeezing the clutch when starting the engine

The result of wear of the crankshaft thrust bearing is the appearance of axial play and vibration at the crankshaft, which are transmitted to the car body. Ultimately, the engine must be opened and repaired. As a result, the costs of the car owner increase significantly, while such repairs could have been avoided if the engine was started correctly without increasing the load on the bearing during start-up.

Tips for car owners
Even experts currently do not have a consensus on whether to squeeze the clutch when starting the engine. It is important to understand that when the engine is warm, when the oil is brought to operating temperature, it is not worth squeezing the clutch when starting the engine. In such a case, the load on the bearing and other components of the box only increases, which can lead to serious malfunctions.

While in winter, when it is more difficult to turn the crankshaft, the oil in the box and in the engine has a low temperature, from which it becomes thicker, then in such a case it is really useful to squeeze the clutch, disconnect the connection between the engine and the box, thereby making it easier to start the engine. Therefore, make it a rule that if you squeeze the clutch when starting the engine, then only in winter, when this really simplifies starting the engine into operation.
